Qanoon Pakistan Law Reference

Qanoon · public information

About, sources and limitations

Qanoon is an educational public reference for finding available Pakistani law text. Its purpose is to make source-linked statutory material easier to browse, not to replace an official publication or a lawyer.

Official-source policy

Stored statutory text is sourced from government publications such as Pakistan Code and provincial gazettes. Third-party compilations are not treated as authoritative text. Each section page carries the citation available in the data record. Automated transcription can introduce errors, and official consolidations can become outdated; verify wording and amendments against the latest official gazette.

Verification labels

Verification is recorded per entry. Some rows are verified, while some official-source transcriptions remain machine-produced and pending a human re-check. Gaps in official Urdu material or incomplete laws are identified instead of being filled with fabricated text. The label does not guarantee that a statute has not changed since the recorded source.

Privacy and device storage

The web app stores its law bundle in browser storage to support offline access. Voice search requests microphone permission only when the visitor chooses voice input. The legal reference does not require an account. Optional third-party advertising may load in clearly labelled ad placements on the home page; the statute-reading and educational predictor screens remain free of ad placements.

Not legal advice

Qanoon does not create an advocate-client relationship, assess evidence or predict a real court outcome. The penalty estimator is educational only and redirects real pending matters to legal help. For advice about a specific case, consult a licensed advocate or legal-aid provider.
